The paper focuses on the use of Multimedia-supported language laboratory in teaching English as second language through communicative approach. The study combines two fields:Communicative approach to language teaching and Computer assisted language learning for effective teaching-learning process.The paper addresses three fundamental issues that entwine the two domains- 1) the similarities and differences of English language teaching and learning between a traditional classroom and a multimedia and computers added classroom with communicative approach 2)change in the roles of teachers and students in a different teaching –learning environment from conventional class and 3)the implications of the communicative language teaching approach in a multimedia computer language laboratory in teaching –learning.The paper focuses on exploring how students adjust themselves in learning English with the aid of multimedia and computers.
