A Good Communicator
Y. Vidya, Lecturer V. H. N. S. College, Virudhunaga
A successful mentor becomes a symbol of a force, capable of steering the mind- set and the potential of the available human resource. He strives towards the visible goal and to the next goal suitable to the contingencies of advanced time and environment. Mentoring is about coping with complexity and change. It is about making things happen. It is about creating change, or getting other people to create change. The objective of the mentor is to help the Mentee to maximize his potential. He / she embrace wisdom and channalizes towards a jointly created direction. He/she builds a cohesive and results oriented team. He/she builds and nurtures a culture of diversity. Without mentoring there cannot be competencies, work ethic, coaching, problem solving, decisiveness, communication, teambuilding, time management, analytical thinking, flexibility and building relationships. This is needed to enable total success. With a mentor there is no single powerhouse of knowledge, creativity and enthusiasm. There is no quest for great knowledge and perfection More
