Challenges faced by The English language teachers in Heterogeneous class room

Many teachers are not aware of the effect of non- verbal communication such as facial expressions, gestures, eye contact and posture. One can draw the attention of the students by looking at their eyes and conveying, explaining encouragement and reinforces responses by nodding or by a smile and use appropriate gestures during explanation. Here I have taken one of the methods of the heterogeneous group (i.e.) Lecture method. It is generally described as a teacher centered teaching method involving one way communication procedure. I have discussed some of the special characteristics of the lecture method. More
