My paper will focus on ‘A Study of Learning Skills to achieve successful teaching methodology for a life long journey’. There are two potential justifications for developing lifelong learning skills that do not seem to be acknowledged by most writers. The role of Higher Education in lifelong learning includes the development and maintenance of professional content, plus the development of capacities for professional practice. In many professional occupations, there are a range of technologies that are utilized. One potential justification is to establish if there are immediate institutional benefits including higher retention, and greater satisfaction for teachers and learners. This requires comprehensive studies of the teaching and learning experiences in higher education. The second convincing argument is to find out what the benefits of life long learning skills are for graduates. This will require studies of immediate benefits to be extended, using longitudinal research to identify the relationship between graduate experience, and the achievement of lifelong learning skills in higher education.
