INSTRUCTOR'S CONSOLE
The `Instructor's Console’ is provided with control functions to monitor all student positions. With this various batches, their session timings and their respective lessons can be organised. The unique features of options for listening to the native speakers and the student's voice separately and stopping the action at selected student position for giving instructions enable personalized attention. Linguist can view the video, text and also hear the sound of the assigned material. Broadcasting facility is available. Linguist coordinates the group discussion
Orell Language Lab - Instructor's Console is the control panel for monitoring the student consoles. Students get the pre-recorded lessons from the Linguist/Instructor console after logging in into their consoles. Linguist can broadcast to all the students from the Linguist console, monitoring and communicating with each student is also possible without disturbing other fellow students.

STUDENT'S CONSOLE
This feature enables the student to download pre-recorded lessons from the linguist's computer to theirs. The student can listen to the native speaker's lessons and pronounciations, see video clippings and read the text. The student has provision to type the text material on the screen. The student can repeat the lesson assigned by the linguist, record, and replay. The student can be part of a group discussion.Self evaluation is possible. Correction in case of any erratic pronouncation is possible by the linguist.
 

Orell Language Lab Student - The student has the facility of listening, speaking, repeating, comparing and writing (typing) the lessons assigned in the class by the Linguist. The students can log into the linguist's console by typing in their name and number. Students will be getting the pre-recorded lessons from the Linguist console after logging in. Student can call and communicate with the Linguist from the student console without disturbing others.

  • Student listens to the lessons pre-recorded by experts.
  • Students can automatically receive lessons from master console while logging in and can use these lessons for personal practice.
  • After listening to the pre-recorded passage, the student can record his own voice and compare the correctness of his/her pronunciation.
  • Self-assessment at the end of each assignment is submitted to the Linguist console for evaluation.
  • Student can communicate with the Linguist.
  • Facility of automatic storage of passage and comparison with the repeated version of the same passage.
  • While a confident student is free to move ahead of schedule, in consultation with the Linguist, a weaker student may stay with a lesson till he or she feels sure. Proficiency in pronunciation, accent and language flow can be attained in the most effective way
  RECORDER
This feature enables the instructor to record lessons with video in their own sound,text can be typed and saved.Lessons recorded and saved can be transmitted to the students.Whole years lesson can be recorded and saved.
 
Ideally, Orell Language Lab is designed to accommodate 20 student positions for one Linguist position. However, it can be modified to accommodate the required number of students.
